History and background:

Postelli Steelfab was founded about 25 years ago as a custom steel fabricator and manufacturer of steel products. The location was 100 Clements Ct. , Coloma Michigan . The facility has about 36,000 sq ft. under the roof. As the business grew, painting operations were added. And later on founded a separate painting company. The painting company was located at 200 Dunbar, Hartford Michigan. This facility had about 44,000 sq ft. with ample room for expansion.

In the third quarter of 2003, both the companies were acquired by AmHawk LLC. AmHawk operates with the same two facilities totaling 80,000 sq ft of manufacturing facility. AmHawk LLC provides metal fabrication, powder coat painting, liquid coat painting and light assembly operations.

AmHawk LLC is a Minority Owned Company. The Plant I is located in a renaissance zone for the City of Hartford.

Both Plant 1 and Plant 2 of AmHawk are located on the I-94 Corridor, between Chicago and Detroit . Both facilities are within one mile off from the I-94 Expressway.
